This will enable students to graduate in two years. Students will need to complete an internship, among other requirements, before they are eligible to register as a pharmacist.

*From 2019, Monash will replace the above program with the new graduate-entry Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) / Master of Pharmacy, Australia's first integrated BPharm (Hons)/ MPharm degree. This degree combo will allow students to graduate with both a bachelor and a master in only 3 years.

This new BPharm (Hons)/ MPharm will develop the relevant practical and analytical skills required for pharmacy practice, as well as generic skills such as oral and written communication, critical thinking, inquiry, learning for life, numeracy and information literacy and leadership.

Monash University's Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences engages in world-class research and has a long history as a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate education. In fact, Monash pharmacy is ranked #2 in the world according to QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018!

Unique Features of the Program

Students who enter the pharmacy course via the graduate entry pathway will complete a pass/fail unit that runs just over four weeks in order to receive credit for the first two years of the degree. The unit is run in the summer semester (January - February). Upon successfully completing this unit, students will then enter the third year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and will complete the degree in just 2 years!

Monash Pharmacy students have access to some of the country’s best-equipped facilities, alongside innovative teaching technologies such as MyDispense – a web-based program that combines more than 300 virtual patients and 1,500 pharmacy products to provide authentic dispensing practice. Pharmacy students will also undertake work placements in hospitals and community pharmacies, learning about primary healthcare, drug information and clinical pharmacy services in different practice environments.
