Entry into professional dentistry programs at Australian universities, like those in Canada, is
highly competitive both for students from Australia and international students. Unlike Canadian
dentistry schools, students can enter the University of Melbourne's dentistry programs directly from high
school and the University of Queensland's after the completion of one year of university study.
