Bond University Architecture School

The Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture at Bond University is dedicated to the concept and practice of sustainability by integrating design, planning, property, construction, urban development and sustainable science education. The range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses available covers sustainable development and property, architecture and urban planning as well as the sustainable science fields of environmental management and environmental science. The variety of courses maintain a single vision of minimizing environmental impacts; an issue of pertinence in today's society.

Classes are delivered by expert teaching staff who are dedicated to educating the sustainability professionals of the future. The intimate small class structure means that each student is nurtured to achieve their professional bests.

Bond's Bachelor of Architectural Studies is focused on inspirational learning and teaching environments that will equip you with the theory, practical skills and strategic thinking to create sustainable and culturally relevant solutions to our environmental challenges.

Students in the Architectural Studies program will need to be passionate, imaginative and enjoy problem solving to succeed in this field. Study areas within the discipline of architecture include design studio, history and theory of architecture, design communication, "hands on" construction workshop and city culture and environment.

A career in architecture is not limited to the creation of buildings and structures. The best architects have the skill to integrate both the art and elements of construction with the visual, tactile and other experiential qualities of space and place. Career opportunities are available in private architectural practices, government, construction, infrastructure and development organizations.
