Since its first intake of students in 1961 at the Clayton campus in Melbourne, Australia, Monash University has grown to become a truly global university. Located within our faculties are 37 research centres of national and international prominence, including the National Centre for Australian Studies, and the Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies within the Faculty of Arts.

Clayton is the largest Monash campus located approximately 12 miles from downtown Melbourne. There are five other campuses in Australia: Caulfield (near downtown Melbourne), Peninsula (by the sea), Gippsland (in the country, approx 2 hours from Melbourne), Berwick (on the outer fringes of Melbourne) and Parkville (Pharmacy College in downtown Melbourne).
