In the May 2013 edition of The OzTREKKER, OzTREKK University of Sydney Master of Physiotherapy student, Stephenie Cochrane, tells us about why she chose to study physio through OzTREKK and how she balances her amazing new life Down Under with her love of ice hockey and the beach.
She also lets us in on what she appreciates most about her program and shares photos of a few of her travels (including a stunning beach pic!) that will make you want to jump on a plane and follow in her footsteps.

Rehabilitation round-up: We take a look at the numerous opportunities for studying rehabilitation sciences through our university partners in Australia. Highlighted are occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology, physiotherapy, and chiropractic programs in Australia at the University of Melbourne, Macquarie University, the University of Queensland, the University of Sydney as well as Bond University.
Hearing Hub: The Australian Hearing Hub launched new digs at Macquarie University last week, bringing thousands of hearing and audiology professionals together under one roof. This also provides a huge boost for the Macquarie University School of Clinical Audiology.
Sydney stuttering research: The Australian Stuttering Research Centre at the University of Sydney shows its commitment to public speech pathology by providing online resources for some of its programs, not only to healthcare professionals, but to the public and students associated with the university’s speech pathology programming.

In the March edition of The OzTREKKER, we catch up with two OzTREKK couples who took commitment to a new level by moving together to earn their masters in international studies at the University of Sydney and veterinary science at the University of Queensland in Australia.
The couples talk about their experiences applying to – and ultimately relocating to – Australian universities to further their studies, while refusing to put their relationships on hold. OzTREKK asks their advice and hears how moving with your partner can benefit studying in a new locale across the globe.

Ten years ago, Matt Miernik and Beth McNally embarked on a new journey that led hundreds of Canadian students on their own. That’s right: OzTREKK is celebrating its 10-year anniversary!
