Study in Australia Fair Reminder

This year, the OzTREKK Study in Australia Fair will take place at the University of Toronto on Sunday, June 2, giving Canadian students the opportunity to learn about their program options at Australian universities, including Australian Medical Schools in Australia, Australian Law Schools in Australia, Australian Dental Schools in Australia and Australian Physiotherapy Schools in Australia—just to name a few!

All eight of OzTREKK’s Australian universities will be participating in the event, sending staff from Australia to Toronto to advise more 350 students and their parents of their study options in Australia.

About Sydney Medical School Dean Professor Bruce Gregory Robinson

Professor Robinson is an Endocrinologist and has been Head of the Molecular Genetics Unit, (now Cancer Genetics Unit) at the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, Royal North Shore Hospital since 1989. His research has focused on identifying the genetic causes contributing to the formation of tumours in endocrine glands such as the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary.

He recently formed the International SDH Consortium gathering families from around the world to define the relationships between phaeochromocytoma / paraganglioma and the SDH genes. In addition his lab has characterized mutations and their consequences in sporadic tumours of the thyroid adrenal and recently in brain tumours.

Since 2001 he has been the Chairman of Hoc Mai, the University of Sydney‘s Australia Vietnam Medical Foundation. He has supervised 25 PhD students.

OzTREKK Study In Australia Fair at McMaster University

The OzTREKK Study in Australia Fair will take place at McMaster University tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving Canadian students the opportunity to learn about their program options at Australian universities, including Australian Medical Schools in Australia, Australian Law Schools in Australia, Australian Dental Schools in Australia and Australian Engineering Schools in Australia—just to name a few!

OzTREKK will be visiting McMaster University Ontario for its annual winter Study In Australia information session.

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Our Australian representatives fly to Canada to participate in these OzTREKK events in order to give you the most information possible! Ditch the winter blues and visit with Australian university representatives to find out about what it’s like to study your program of interest at an Australian university. This is a free event!

What? OzTREKK will be hosting the fair and you’ll get the opportunity to meet and speak with Australian university representatives as well as with OzTREKK Director Matt Miernik.

“Each winter we travel across Canada to meet with Canadian student interested in pursuing their career dreams in Australia,” says Matt. “We bring the information to them, making it easy to access the answers needed when considering studies in Australia.”
