Air Canada schedules year-round flights for Melbourne

Air Canada will begin year-round flights on the route three times a week from June 1, 2018, with a morning departure from Melbourne and an overnight service out of Vancouver. The Star Alliance member airline already provides non-stop flights to Sydney and Brisbane.

JCU researchers look at innovative ways to solve the GP shortage in the bush

Researchers from James Cook University’s College of Medicine and Dentistry have been awarded $150,000 to investigate how best to address the GP shortage in the bush. The funding will enable the research team to determine where the GP shortage is greatest, and how best to ensure specialist GP training places can be established to meet the demand.

I’m not a person who’s scared of flying, In fact, I actually like it; however, sitting in a 2’ x 3’ area for more than 14 hours in one sitting was going to be a challenge. So I tried to prepare myself as much as possible, packing my carry-on with snacks, a book and my power cord and hoped for the best. However, after completing the journey, there were a few things I learned that could help a few of you.
