Admission for 2008 intake
- There will be two selection rounds for the 2008 intake, taking place in approximately July and November 2007. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application after each selection round. Unsuccessful applicants must advise International Admissions if they wish to be considered for further rounds.
- Only complete applications will be assessed. Students must submit a completed University of Melbourne Undergraduate International Student Application for Undergraduate Studies Application Form, and high school and post-secondary transcripts (if commenced or completed post-secondary studies).
- No personal statements, references and/or resumes are required or assessed.
- The OAT is not assessed. Even if you have completed the OAT do not submit it with your application, as it will not be assessed.
- There is no interview required for admission in to the program.
Entry Criteria for 2008 intake
- Assessment is based on your performance in the most recently completed studies. If you have completed high school only, only your high school transcript will be assessed. For those students who have commenced or completed an undergraduate degree, both your high school transcripts and your university transcripts will be assessed. However, your GPA will be evaluated from your most recent studies. Your high school transcripts may be assessed if you have not met the pre-requisite subjects during your university degree.
- Admission is extremely competitive. Students applying direct from high school should possess a 90% average to be considered. Those students who have completed an undergraduate degree will require an 'A' average to be considered.
- Pre-requisite subjects include: Grade 12 English and Grade 12 Chemistry and either Grade 12 Physics or Grade 12 Calculus and Grade 12 Data Management.
Application Fee
There is a $100 AUD application fee to apply to the University of Melbourne and is payable by all international student wishing to apply to the University.
Application Deadline
The application deadline is October 31. However, as there are two selection rounds, students should apply no later than one (1) month prior to the selection round which they wish to be considered in and apply no later than October 31.

2. Mail your high school and/or your university transcript(s), together with your University of Melbourne declaration form to OzTREKK:

Once your online application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from OzTREKK.
You will then be notified of when all your mailed transcript(s) and declaration form arrive and have been matched up with your online application form.
Your application is then submitted electronically to the assessment panel at the University of Melbourne.
You will be notified by OzTREKK regarding the outcome of your application.
